Well, it’s all personal preference obviously, and the microfiber will obviously be a little warmer than cotton, so that’s a consideration if you’ll be using it in summer a lot. I’ve tried out several, and my fav is the woven earth tones with chocolate because of its versatility with anything I’m wearing.
I also prefer the cotton center panels to the silk center panels, because it feels like it gives a bit more support. But to be fair, I’ve never tried on the microfiber ones.
I see that you have the Moby D. Looks like the woven cotton center? I was trying to decide between that one and the microfiber…would you know the difference in how they are/ or have a recommendation? Thanks.
awesome tutorial!! i’m gonna go get one tomorrow!
thank thank you for this vid
Ahh, that makes sense! Thank you!
Actually, it’s not an issue of stretching more, but of wrapping around less. So if you’re larger, instead of crossing them in back the final time, you can just cross them in front, bring the longer piece around behind you and tie on the side. Also, the regular Moby Wrap is a bit longer than the Moby D.
Thanks for the demonstration! I just ordered one yesterday and I am super excited to try it out.
I have a quick question, though. I had read that it works well for larger people, because of how long it is. But it looked like even you didn’t have much fabric left — and you’re MUCH smaller than me! Does it stretch more than it had to in this video?
Yes, I used it during the summer. It does get hot if you’re going to be out in really hot weather for a long time. I personally don’t take baby out in weather like that for an extended period, though (I’m a hot weather wimp), so it wasn’t a problem for me. Most of the time I was using it indoors or for short stints outdoors. If you were going to be hiking in Arizona in July or something, you’d be too hot.
This video was so helpful! It actually made me buy the Moby wrap. Thanks for making it!
Awesome demonstration- I wanted one before but now I am definately ordering one! Thanks!
Did u use this wrap during the summer? Does the baby or u get hot being wrapped?
thank you
That’s great! I have a two year old and am due in two months. I just ordered this exact one. Thanks for the simple demonstration! Really helps with understanding how it works.
This video helped so much more than the manual.
Thank you! I’m expecting in 2.5 months and I think this will be very helpful. I read the directions, but it’s much better to SEE it being done.
Thanks a lot, gonna go try it now, just got my moby. She’s adorable by the way!
This video was such a help! Thanks for posting it!
well..
I think I tie it right, but my baby is crying like hell when I do it.
I just brought a wrap and i wish i had it when my baby was born shes now 12 weeks but im gladi have it now fantstic wrap and a great video to explain it.
Wow this is the best demonstration of the wrap! thank you for posting this. i finally am able to get my baby in the wrap and after some fussing, she is finally asleep. thank you!
Well to be fair, my baby in the video was something like 6 months old.
Great video! I’m 20 wks and am wanting one of these for my baby. It just looks a little more secure then the others I’ve seen. I just have to say though that the baby looks HUGE!! LOL….totally cute!
This video helped me suss it out even more. First watched by me well over a year ago now and so glad to see it still here. Will ensure my friends who are about to have babies see this.
It feels like a steep learning curve the first few times you use it, but after a few times you can do it in your sleep!
To be honest, although I know it’s possible to nurse in the Moby, I never found it all that easy, and would usually take my baby out to nurse. For one thing, my babies tend to not like to be covered up while nursing. So I’d take her out, we’d sit and nurse, and then she could go back in. The Moby was especially helpful for times when I knew she was ready to sleep – I’d pop her in, and she’d usually be fast asleep within a couple minutes.
Great video.
I saw the vid on the site and I was totally sold, but your video really explains things a lot better… Absolutely adorable how cuddled up your little on is, she looks like she really likes it!
