WoW! That was amazing!!! Thanks for sharing with us this much precious and intimate moment… And thank you for not censuring the part where you come out of the bath with the baby crowning… It was simply beautiful and incredible to see… I had my daughter 15 years ago (I had just turned 22) and gave birth at a birthing center with a midwife… I gave birth in 4 hours (including the contractions) – I only had to push for 12 minutes, nonetheless I remember how exhausted I was lol Kudos to you!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful/amazing/joyous/private moment in your life! My last baby was 24 years ago. I wanted a Vbac but alas, I am too small. You sharing your home birth makes me feel a little sad for what I could not achieve, but glad that I didn’t have to go through what you did. I could not have handled it nearly as well(I’d be a basket case lol). Great job and congrats! I lived vicariously through you. You did a great job! Thanks again!

@DazzelPebbels Also, you should watch BBC’s Call the Midwife. It’s true to the book. and the book is true.

    Where were the doctors then?!

SO many arguments, for AND against both home and hospital births! It’s up to the parents to make the decision that will be best for mother and baby!
I’d Love a homebirth next time but I don’t know what will happen and I might need and emergency C-section!

Maybe the doula will bring a scalpel? JOKE!

    Don’t think I don’t understand the reality.

  13. CaptainSupernova says:

@DazzelPebbels Wow did I write the oposite of what I meant?!

Most midwives I know would rather the mother go into the hospital for that exact reason and I agree!

When I gave birth there was NO doctor in the room as the midwife was trained to deal with EVERYTHING but surgery on my baby, but I thank God that my baby did not need surgery.

Watch Channel Four’s One Born Every Minute. I know a lot of people who have had bad births at hospital and great births at home&vise versa!

  14. nn62606 says:

Congrats to you both. I just gave birth 2 months ago going all natural as well but at the hospital. This was my second pregnancy as for my first pregnancy, I took the epidural. I would so go natural again in the future if I ever have kids again. It is a much faster recovery. Well thanks for sharing this awesomeness video of baby Love. You all did great!

  15. Horses6600 says:

This is weird but so amazing

  16. RA12345678900 says:

when the baby came out the tummy went down

  17. RA12345678900 says:

does it hurt pushing out the placenta?

  18. Marin8d says:

@TheLowkeyIsh I had to get out of the tub. It was just the position I was in that kept her caught. Once I was out she was born in 2-3 pushes :) I know plenty of women who’ve done vbac. Good luck!

  19. TheLowkeyIsh says:

Wow you are one strong woman ! Can i ask when baby’s shoulder was caught on your pelvic bone, did you just have to keep pushing until she came out or did the midwife move baby somehow ? Seeing this makes me more determined to go natural next tim round as i had to have an emergency c-section with my first :( Natural next time :D for sure!

  20. DazzelPebbels says:

@CaptainSupernova um no they don’t….i think midwives are an excuse to be all modern and have your baby at home now (i know this use to happen back then)….what happens when your baby’s heart rate goes down…what happens when the god forbid the cord gets wrapped around the neck…what happens when the head is too far up…what the hell does a midwife know then…and these are a lot of common things that happen..ppl take way too many risks now days!

  21. revoloveution says:

@DazzelPebbels you’re 100% right, believe me. I live in a country where homebirth is the ‘normal’ thing to do and sadly i believed the hype. So when shit hit the fan my baby almost died. (did i mention that the rate of stillbirths is the highest here of all europe) That being said i would make it illegal for first time mothers to give birth at home. Second time or later could be own choice. That’s my opinion.
