Thank you UTube for providing such information on ectopic pregnancies. I have informative just been diagniosed with it and was going out of my mind trying to find out what is going on with my body, how did this all happen but after watching this video and reading the above comments I know I am not alone there are many people who have been through the same ordeal.

I don’t concur with your concept, you can get pregnant and have a healthy baby, you can have an IVF and intrauterine embryo transfer. If you want you can search for a qualified OBGYN that manage reproductive issues near your area.
I hope you have a healthy and beautifull baby soon!
    Best wishes.

I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy this past Tuesday. It appears to be outside the faloipan tube (possibly abdominal cavity), but the ultrasound tech could not say for sure (the falipian tubes are not visible on ultrasound apparently). The gestational sac is 1.2 cm in diameter (6w3d). I have some cramping and bleeding, but nothing major. Doctors are employing ‘wait and see’ with possible methotrexate next week. Sound reasonable? Very informative video, by the way.

I can’t help but shed tears at this video; the same thing EXACTLY happened to me back in 2005.

I’m upset seeing it but it was very interesting to finally see what went on. I was particularly interested in the masses of blood that had accumulated after being told by a nurse my abdomen was FILLED with blood after being left for 3 days with no ultrasound..

I’ll never forget the feeling of losing conciousness on the way down to theatre, was a very scary time :(

last week i was admitted to hospital to find out i was pregnant but it could be eptopic they measured hcg went from 150-576 so sent me home saying it was normal pregancy, went back in with pain (no bleeding though) i have a mass of blood&clots behind my womb they said its eptopic as hcg now down to 238, the pain was so painful nothing can discribe it. i still have to go back to on sun 17th may 09 for blood tests to see if the hcg has fallen more so far i aint had surgery fingers crossed i wont.

I had an ectopic last year. It was horrible. :( :( That was the worst pain I’d ever had in my entire life. WAY trumped breaking my arm when I was young. I would not wish that on my worst enemy.

a baby can’t survive in a fallopian tube and once it is removed (out of necessity… the mother won’t live if it’s allowed to continue growing there, and the baby won’t live because as it grows it would eventually rupture the fallopian tube, and it needs to be in the uterus to grow) it cannot be “implanted” into the uterus, and therefore it would not survive. It couldn’t be “granted a second chance.” Understand? It’s a sad loss. Unfortunately, this baby wasn’t meant to grow and be born.

  14. PedroTorresMDOBGYN says:

We couldn’t give the pregnancy a second chance because the internal bleeding could kill the patient.

  15. ana860628 says:

omgsh! so did you take it out? or was it granted a 2nd chance?

  16. PedroTorresMDOBGYN says:

Thanks for your comments, there was a pregnancy, we found the gestational sac but the embrio was too small to see it.

  17. ana860628 says:

this is an amazing video. but, did they ever find a baby?
