My point was not to demean breastfeeding per se, but to make sure those moms who formula feed aren’t made to feel guilty or inadequate. Just as in the past, there seemed to be enormous social pressure to bottle feed, nowadays it seems the opposite!

I’d like to add that, during pregnancy, your body secrets a hormone called “relaxin,” which helps relax the tendons around the bones to accomodate the enlarging uterus. Otherwise, a woman would fracture her pelvis and ribbs! (by the way, it is rare, but during delivery there have been some cases of fractured pelvis). Post partum there are permanent changes in the woman’s skeleton because of this – your lower ribbs are elevated a bit, so some women find they have to buy new sizes of shirts.

Oh please. So I guess we were all like grenades? SO much for so many people having babies everyday. The psychiatrist is a dumbass if you ask me. Breast feeding is so much healthier for a baby than formula. If a man can’t understand that, he should wrap it up every single time since he’s not man enough to comprehand what it takes to raise a child. I dont understand how you think that is logical to think that sex is more important than raising a healthy baby when it is born,
