I think it’s a silly idea. It might work for a little while, but they’d have to homeschool the kid and ban all TV and other media. At some point, the kid will see or hear something about gender and ask.
The parents also ignore the society in which they live. A child trying to grow up gender-neutral will have a very difficult time or have to be completely isolated at home. Neither is a good plan. The parents can more easily say, “hey, you were born this, but you can always get it changed later.”

  2. ElectricCarrotFail says:

when I was a baby people sometimes thought i was a boy because i had short hair and wore my brothers hand-me-down baby grows
    :)

  3. Speculativeness says:

Really bad idea(as I think). It doesn’t give any freedom to the baby. On the contrary, I think Storm will have some problems with her gender identification in future. And yes, the whole idea is totally useless and foolish.
What’s wrong about being a girl or a boy? And why do parents think that having a neutral gender is better?

  4. Iluvtmnt says:

I see it as an experiment. They let their boys choose their clothes from whichever department they’d like, boys or girls, and let them decide on whether they’d like to cut their hair or not. It’s probably not the best idea, of course, but it is a little less controlling. Looking at it that way, I think they could be onto something, as in not restricting your children to what is accepted for their gender. Give the girls power rangers, and let the boys wear something frilly. It doesn’t matter.

  5. Lauen324 says:

It’s a good idea, but as the child grows up, it’s going to be much more obvious. Especially when they’re 12 or so.

  6. nikikittycupcake says:

who freaking cares they can do what they want.if the parents want to keep THEIR baby’s gender a secret they can. and when storm grows up if (s)he wants to (s)he can tell the world their gender. you aren’t in any position to call them crazy just because you don’t think its a good idea. i personally don’t think anything of it.i mean people are gonna do what they want to and nobody can stop them from doing it so just shut up about it. and go ahead call it stupid or ridiculous but its their choice

  7. 52779able says:

wait 10 years if there lemons then it a girl. haha bitch ur fucked

  8. 9164523 says:

It’s not a very bad idea, it is a horrible idea beyond repair. That’s just plain stupid.

  9. MyPurplePlatypus says:

I don’t think their decision to keep the gender a secret is good or bad, just different, but I fully agree with how they are raising their other children. if you’re gay straight or bi isn’t a conscious choice you make, so if their boys want to wear pink, who should tell them not to?

  10. smileyface14982 says:

    ITS A BOY!!

  11. randomocityvideos says:

I completely agree with what you say. But to add on to it, I think that if you allow children of such young age to decide such things and give them freedom to think and act however they want, it will, in turn, make them very ignorant and stubborn when they grow older into their teen and adult years.

  12. Austin101123 says:

It’s a hermaphrodite, that’s why they don’t want to let it out. Or it’s a boy.

  13. pumpkinq123 says:

well i live with 3 women (my mom my sister and my step mom)and one guy (my dad), and i spend alot of time with those 3 women in my family and not so much with my dad (only about 5 hours a day on school days) yet i am still a normal guy… spending time with another sex wont change you at all. it might make you think different about things or make you like theings you didnt like before, but not turn you into a women. what makes you gay or straight is ethier influance or a thought and a free mind

  14. roberto123302 says:

i think it’s with the nature vs nurture concept

  15. 1998rodney says:

    @Insomniacfan2010 no. . . . but lol

  16. 1998rodney says:

    @Insomniacfan2010 no

  17. Insomniacfan2010 says:

    It’s not a boy or a girl.
    IT’S AN ADAMS.

(Sorry, I had to do it.)

  18. FaithfulEarth says:

1:45 are you sure about that?

  19. uasuka says:

@sexybanddork it was meant to be negative thats why you’re getting all madd, is it because you dont know your own gender? possibly a hermaphrodite idk but i though you weree a girl in your video soo yeahh

  20. artgirl727 says:

@awesomejoe12 Um, no, haven’t you heard of being transgendered? Gender is way more complicated than genitals.

  21. a1rzf0rc3 says:

They wont tell because the baby has a pajimise

  22. TehOrkyMan says:

It’s a ridiculous idea. Different genders have different levels and types of hormones. Male children grow up to be more aggressive and generally stronger because the hormone levels in their blood encourages muscle growth and a more aggressive personality. Sure, I’m male, and have a generally placid personality. However, should I need to protect myself, I could quite easily rip a throat open, or brake bones, or cave in skulls. Most females would hold back more.

  23. sadeyesace says:

@Python199 I would assume so. It’s not going to stay a secret for a very long time. But I agree that children shouldn’t be taught any gender constraints before the age of 5…. that’s their most critical development years that help shape they’re personality and priorities.

  24. Marvinpa1997 says:

Well the first time Storm goes into the bathroom we will know “it’s” gender, and when it hits puberty, and whether it’s bathing suit has a top. When storm grows up, I wonder how it’ll feel

  25. sexybanddork says:

@uasuka @Mrgangsta2065, this would be why. People are ignorant little cusses who think the word faggot is SOOO offensive. Really, it’s the fact that they probably didn’t read anything, and yet choose to view my posting as negative.

It’s like saying, “Oh, I don’t like your name, so I’m going to ignore anything you ever say and spit poorly-phrased insults at you until you die. Yay.”
